About Touch Screens
The next ‘big thing’ in technology is now with us and it’s growing all the time.
Touch Screen’s were first used for high end applications such as kiosk systems for Airports and Job Centres and then started to surface on PDA’s and small games machines such as the Nintendo DS. Soon after Touch Screen technology started to appear on mobile phones and now they are starting to become very common on PC’s and Laptops.

Apart from a very early Hewlett Packard model, the TouchSmart IQ770, the technology was slow reaching a mass market but with the launch of the ASUS Eee Top in November 2008 other main stream manufacturers started to see the attraction and now every major name is either producing Touch Screen computers or will be very soon.
It’s expected that by 2012 that Touch Screen will be in every home and the old style non-interactive PC or Laptop will only be found at your local car boot sale.
